Hi, this is product photographer Marina Griebl 👋🏻
Today, I want to talk about pricing in product photography — and why a single image is more than it appears at first glance.
A client sends a request — the photographer gives a price. What does the client see?
A shot costs “X” euros.
For the client, it’s basically like clicking a button.
They see the number, don’t understand what’s behind it… and move on.
But what does one shot really mean for a product photographer? What really goes into creating an image?
Let’s break it down:
- The number of trainings the product photographer has completed to master this very shot
- Hours invested in developing skills
- Cost of the equipment used during the shoot
- Trials and errors
- Hours spent on color correction and retouching
- Experience from shooting similar products (nobody knows better how to showcase a product perfectly 💪🏻)
- The reliability and expertise of the team
- Preparation, alignment, and tests to ensure everything is just right
- Often 30–50 shots taken to create one perfect image
In short: A photo is the result of experience, technique, and care, not just a single click.
We want you to understand that our prices are fairly calculated, and the final result is worth every cent — a professional image that presents your product at its absolute best.
